Pendampingan Perlindungan Anak-Anak Korban Kekerasan di Kota Tarakan

Abstrak

Background: Children are included in the group who are obliged to get guarantees for the rights they have human rights. In Tarakan City, efforts to protect and fulfill children's rights are contained in the Tarakan City Regional Regulation No. 8 of 2012. The issuance of this regional regulation aims to reduce the number of child violence that still occurs in Tarakan City.

Methods: Based on data from the Social Service, there were 93 cases of violence against children in 2018, 121 cases in 2019, 78 cases in 2020, and 6 cases in 2021. So it is necessary to provide protection and assistance for victims. In addition, it is necessary to provide education for each family head regarding the dangers and sanctions for perpetrators of violence, as well as benefits for victims when reporting. The method of implementing this service activity is carried out by means of education (explanation and understanding) regarding the benefits, impacts and consequences for victims or perpetrators.

Conclusion: Apart from providing education, assistance is also provided for victims of violence, in collaboration with the Social Service.
